FOLL Provides Picture Books to First Graders at Creekside Oaks Elementary School

The library’s new initiative — Read Across Lincoln — started with a visit to Creekside Oaks Elementary School. Each first grader was given a gift bag that included an invitation to visit the library, a take-home craft, and the picture book “Amy Wu and the Patchwork Dragon” by Kat Zhang. FOLL provided the books for the gift bags. Library staff, Tonie Jenkins (pictured), lead a storytime session featuring the picture book. The library and FOLL will be visiting other Lincoln schools over the next few weeks. [March 2022]
